Watch Hulu Outside US

You want to be able to watch the latest episode of Prison Break, Family Guy or Heroes for free. You’ve tried all sorts of Flash video hosting sites, and none of them worked well. It’s time to give Hulu a try.

From Wikipedia.org:

Hulu is a website that offers ad-supported streaming video of TV shows and movies from NBC, FOX and many other networks and studios. Hulu videos are currently offered only to users in the United States.

Note, “offered only to users in United States”.

You won’t be able to watch the videos from the website if you’re outside the US. Hulu does this by detecting your IP address.

Here’s how. You’ll have to download a copy of Hotspot Shield. AnchorFree’s Hotspot Shield hides your IP address, which means, Hulu wouldn’t be able to detect your actual IP.

It’s that simple. Hotspot Shield is ad-supported, you can choose not to install the toolbar that comes along. An advertisement banner appears on every page that you browse but don’t worry, it’s collapsible.

This method will also work with other sites that block you by detecting your IP address.
